Biology Adjunct - Fall 2026
About the role
The Department of Biology at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) invites outstanding applicants for an adjunct position to teach BIO 141: Principles of Human Anatomy and Physiology I during the Fall 2026 semester starting on August 25, 2026. BIO 141 is the first of a two-semester anatomy and physiology sequence for nursing majors, and the course covers a variety of human systems (e.g., integumentary, muscular, skeletal, nervous). Topics should be addressed from both basic and clinical perspectives. Lab is devoted to hands-on exploration of anatomy using dissection and observation of selected vertebrates as well as human models. Teaching materials are available for lectures and labs. The course is scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday 5:30pm – 6:50pm (lecture) with labs on Tuesday from 7:00pm – 9:50pm.

- Administer exams
- Deliver lectures
- Assign homework
- Provide additional support to students as needed
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or comparable degree in Biology
- Previous teaching experience preferred
