About the role
Biology (Anatomy and Physiology) Adjunct (Summer and Fall 2026)
Responsibilities
- Teach specific classes in the designated discipline.
- Develop course syllabi and instructional materials.
- Maintain records, assign grades, and assess student progress.
- Adhere to policies, procedures, and regulations of GCC and the VCCS.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree with at least eighteen graduate semester hours in Biology (Anatomy and Physiology).
- Ability to effectively teach classrooms and online.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Excellent oral/written communication skills.
- Ability to use instructional technology.
- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience.
- Work experience in the field.
- Experience with on-line teaching.
- Substantial, proven experience with innovative teaching and developing online courses in both the synchronous and asynchronous learning environments at a regionally accredited institution.
- Experience with or willingness to learn artificial intelligence tools.
Skills
- Master’s Degree in Biology (Anatomy and Physiology).
