About the role
Join our team as an Adjunct Faculty in Welding at WSU Tech. You will teach courses in welding, focusing on hands-on training in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.
Responsibilities
- Deliver instructional lectures and hands-on demonstrations to effectively teach welding techniques and safety practices.
- Utilize industry-standard practices and curriculum to prepare students for real-world applications and job readiness.
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and feedback sessions.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development.
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in welding technology or a related field is preferred.
- Industry certification from AWS (American Welding Society) or a similar organization is highly desirable.
- Minimum of two years of practical welding experience in a professional setting.
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, though not mandatory.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of various welding processes and safety standards.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to engage students effectively and adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs.
