About the role

Join our team as an Adjunct Faculty in Welding at WSU Tech. You will teach courses in welding, focusing on hands-on training in various welding processes, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructional lectures and hands-on demonstrations to effectively teach welding techniques and safety practices.
  • Utilize industry-standard practices and curriculum to prepare students for real-world applications and job readiness.
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and feedback sessions.
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development.
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in welding technology or a related field is preferred.
  • Industry certification from AWS (American Welding Society) or a similar organization is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of two years of practical welding experience in a professional setting.
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, though not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of various welding processes and safety standards.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage students effectively and adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs.
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and tools to enhance classroom learning.
