Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver instructional lectures and hands-on demonstrations to effectively teach welding techniques and safety practices
  • Utilize industry-standard practices and curriculum to prepare students for real-world applications and job readiness
  • Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and feedback sessions
  • Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development
  • Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners

Requirements

  • A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in welding technology or a related field is preferred
  • Industry certification from AWS (American Welding Society) or a similar organization is highly desirable
  • Minimum of two years of practical welding experience in a professional setting
  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, though not mandatory

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of various welding processes and safety standards
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to engage students effectively and adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs
  • Familiarity with instructional technology and tools to enhance classroom learning
