Key Responsibilities
- Deliver instructional lectures and hands-on demonstrations to effectively teach welding techniques and safety practices
- Utilize industry-standard practices and curriculum to prepare students for real-world applications and job readiness
- Evaluate student progress through assessments, practical exams, and feedback sessions
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and skill development
- Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the needs of diverse learners
Requirements
- A high school diploma is required; an associate's degree or higher in welding technology or a related field is preferred
- Industry certification from AWS (American Welding Society) or a similar organization is highly desirable
- Minimum of two years of practical welding experience in a professional setting
- Previous teaching or mentoring experience is a plus, though not mandatory
Skills
- Strong knowledge of various welding processes and safety standards
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to engage students effectively and adapt teaching styles to diverse learning needs
- Familiarity with instructional technology and tools to enhance classroom learning
