Adjunct Faculty, Respiratory Care
Job Description
Teaches a variety of respiratory care courses (didactic and laboratory) related to the Respiratory Care discipline including, but not limited to: equipment, patient assessment and pulmonary disease management, acid-base, respiratory care pharmacology, laboratory course (general therapeutics and mechanical ventilation).
Prepares and delivers learning activities in order to achieve course outcomes
Prepares course materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
Evaluates and grades students’ class work, laboratory work, assignments, papers, and examinations
Maintains and submits student attendance records, grades and other required documentation by specified deadlines
Be available to students for coaching
Required Qualifications
- Current State of Ohio license and RRT credential verified by the National Board for Respiratory Care
- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited academic institution, recognized by the USDE
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as an RRT; of which 2 years include experience in clinical respiratory care
- Proficiency or the ability to become proficient in learning management systems (e.g. Blackboard) and instructional technologies
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of the community

- Teaching experience

This is a Part-Time Faculty position, with the following set rate of pay: $942.00/Equated Semester Unit (ESU).
