About the role
The Department of Philosophy and World Religions seeks adjunct faculty to teach a variety of philosophy courses, including:
- Logic of Everyday Reasoning (informal logic)
- Philosophical Perspectives on Science (a general education philosophy of science course for non-majors)
- Intro to Philosophy
- Intro to Ethics
- Social & Political Philosophy
- Intro to Symbolic Logic
Courses may be offered both in-person and online.
Qualifications
- Candidates must have at least a Master’s degree in philosophy (or a closely related field).
- Previous college-level teaching experience is strongly preferred.

Note: Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States. The University will not sponsor a visa for this position.
The University provides a minimum of $2,225 per credit for all courses taught, with a maximum teaching load of 8 credits per semester and 12 credits in an academic year. Courses will be assigned to instructors by College & Department on an as-needed basis.
