Responsibilities
- Table train osteopathic medical students in the OMM lab as well as present laboratory content.
- Facilitate an environment conducive for learning and help motivate students to learn.
- Work collaboratively as a member of the OMM department.
- Practical examination grading.
- Serve on TouroCOM committees as assigned.
- Provide reports budgetary information and other documents as requested by department chairs, directors, and deans.
- Advising and mentoring students.
- Participate in medical student admission interviews.
Qualifications
- DO or MD degree; DO degree preferred.
- Candidate must be board certified/board eligible in NMM/OMM, or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge base in a specialty area of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine.
- A demonstrated ability and desire to teach.
- Strong interpersonal skills and motivation to contribute to the growth and development of the OMM department, and overall university.
- Basic computer skills supporting the proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite, including PowerPoint, Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as software used to prepare and administer written exams electronically and experience with Learning Management Systems.
