Adjunct Faculty - Nursing

About the role

The University of Houston Andy and Barbara Gessner College of Nursing seeks part-time Adjunct Faculty members to teach undergraduate or graduate classroom and/or clinical instruction.

Responsibilities

• Undergraduate or graduate classroom and/or clinical instruction using on-site, simulation, and online education strategies.
• Some travel may be required.
• Evaluation of student performance.
• Communication with program directors, track managers, and clinical learning coordinators.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in nursing from a professionally accredited school of nursing.
• Candidate must possess an unencumbered license as a registered nurse in Texas and an advanced practice nurse license, if applicable, in Texas.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Doctorate or substantial progress toward doctorate in nursing or related field.
• Teaching experience in nursing.
