About the role

Responsibilities
- Teaching course load as assigned.
- Teach classes as assigned by designated supervisor.
- Prepare appropriate lesson plans for each course in accordance with approved course outcomes.
- Develop a relationship with students & staff that is professional and encourages teacher/student communication.
- Assist in the recruitment of students, as appropriate.
- When agreed upon, and as appropriate, assist in the evaluation of curriculum and instructional performance.
- Represent the college in a professional manner throughout the communities and college district by promoting a positive public image.
- Complete all required annual CMC training courses. Ex. Title IX, Digital Accessibility, and Data Security and Privacy.
- Perform other related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Requirements
An equivalent/applicable combination of education and/or experience to perform the duties and responsibilities of the position required with teaching in continuing education or community education. Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5. A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20-$60 per hour. Pay Levels are determined from varying degrees of expertise and evidence in the instructional area.
Qualifications
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Or Conversational Language Abilities Preferred.

Pay
Non-credit Community Education compensation is based on Pay Levels ranging from 1-5. A new faculty’s Pay Level is determined by the campus supervisor and ranges $20-$60 per hour.
Schedule
Work is performed using a computer and standard office equipment daily and driving a vehicle occasionally.
Working Conditions
This position requires constant sitting, occasional walking, standing and driving; occasional handling objects, pushing/pulling; frequent reaching with hands/arms, and use of finger movements; occasional lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling objects up to 50 lbs. Constant written and oral communication and the ability to reason and analyze and perform calculations occasionally.
Supervision
This position will report to the campus non-credit Community Education coordinator or campus designee.
