Role Overview

The Adjunct Faculty – Mathematics will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in undergraduate and postgraduate mathematics courses. The role requires strong subject expertise, effective teaching methodologies, and the ability to create an engaging learning environment that promotes conceptual understanding, analytical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. The faculty member will contribute to academic excellence while supporting student learning and development on a flexible contractual basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver lectures, tutorials, and practical sessions in accordance with the approved curriculum.
• Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, teaching materials, presentations, and problem-solving exercises.
• Design and conduct student assessments, including assignments, quizzes, class tests, and examinations.
• Evaluate and grade student work accurately and within stipulated timelines.
• Maintain student attendance, academic records, and assessment documentation.
• Provide academic guidance, mentoring, and consultation during scheduled office hours or designated student support sessions.
• Foster an interactive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages logical reasoning, analytical thinking, and mathematical inquiry.
• Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) and digital teaching tools for course delivery, assessments, and student engagement.
• Ensure compliance with university academic policies, quality standards, and examination procedures.
• Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum discussions, faculty development activities, and other academic initiatives, as required.

Qualifications & Skills Required

• Master’s degree (M.Sc.) in Mathematics from a recognized university.
• A Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related discipline will be preferred.
• NET/SET qualification is desirable where applicable.
• Minimum 1–2 years of teaching experience at the undergraduate or postgraduate level.
• Fresh Ph.D. candidates with strong academic credentials may also be considered.
• Demonstrated expertise in core mathematics subjects such as Calculus, Algebra, Differential Equations, Statistics, and Applied Mathematics.
