Adjunct Faculty- Mathematics

About the role

Waubonsee Community College seeks part-time Adjunct Faculty to deliver high-quality instruction and foster a dynamic learning environment at the Sugar Grove campus. Courses may be offered in hybrid format; fully remote instruction is not available.

Responsibilities

• Create a course syllabus using the approved college template.
• Design lessons, activities, assignments, and assessments that meet established course descriptions, program outcomes, and college learning objectives while addressing diverse student needs.
• Meet all college deadlines for attendance, grades, and student-learning assessment data.
• Incorporate learning-centered principles and motivate students to actively participate in their educational experiences.
• Integrate instructional and classroom technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to serve student and community needs.
• Model professionalism through excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mathematics or a Master’s degree in a related field with 18 graduate hours in Mathematics.
• Preferred experience:
  • Teaching at a community college or vocational/technical institution.
  • Teaching traditionally underserved populations.
  • Incorporating technology and multimedia into teaching.
  • Teaching in multiple instructional modalities.
  • Utilizing Learning Management Systems.

Pay

Minimum pay per course: $3,363.00.
