About the role

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University’s Worldwide campus is currently hiring adjunct faculty to teach ECON 210 – Microeconomics in person at our Portland, OR campus.

Responsibilities

  • Teach ECON 210 – Microeconomics in person at the Portland, OR campus.
  • Discuss current microeconomic issues in aviation, such as elasticity, pricing, taxes, subsidies, market implications, liability reform, evolution of airline completion, etc.

Requirements

  • Doctor’s or Master’s degree in teaching discipline, or a Masters degree with a concentration in teaching discipline (minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline).
  • Appropriate Certification: N/A
  • Desired Professional Training Or Experience: N/A
  • Degrees Within The Teaching Discipline: Economics, International Economics, and Managerial Economics
  • Related Discipline: Business Administration with 18 graduate credit hours in Economics, Accounting with 18 graduate credit hours in Economics, Government with 18 graduate credit hours in Economics, and Public Administration with 18 graduate credit hours in Economics

Qualifications

  • Proof of stated qualifications required, including official transcripts, copies of professional licenses/certifications, documentation of military experience, and/or verified professional industry related experience.

Skills

  • Ability to teach ECON 210 – Microeconomics effectively.
  • Knowledge of current microeconomic issues in aviation.
