Adjunct Faculty - Economics
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective instruction in economics courses
- Support student learning and academic success
- Maintain academic quality and consistency across course offerings
- Participate in department and governance activities as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Economics or a related field
- A minimum of 18 graduate credit hours in economics
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior teaching experience
- Experience teaching across multiple course modalities, including: Traditional (in-person), Online, Blended, and Remote instruction
Licensing & Compliance Requirements
All teaching faculty must comply with Pennsylvania Act 15 requirements. Selected candidates will be required to present completed clearances and training certificates at the time of hire.
Technology & Equipment Requirements
- A personal computer (Windows, Linux, or Mac desktop or laptop)
- A current web browser (Firefox, Edge, Safari, or Chrome)
- Reliable broadband internet access throughout employment (DSL, 4G/LTE, FIOS, Satellite, or Cable)
- Equipment enabling synchronous communication, such as: USB headset, speaker and microphone, captioning services, and adaptive or assistive technology, as needed
About the Role
The Adjunct Faculty member in Economics provides high-quality academic instruction and student academic support within the Business Studies Department. The role also includes participation in governance and academic activities designed to ensure the consistency, integrity, and excellence of instructional delivery.
