Duties & Responsibilities
- Teach courses aligned with the course syllabus.
- Present organized and clear lectures and classroom activities.
- Promote development and effective use of skills in various areas.
- Provide students with timely feedback on academic progress.
- Maintain accurate records of student academic performance.
- Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of college policies.
- Use technology tools such as Canvas, Starfish, email, MS Office, and the internet.
Qualifications
- A Master of Fine Arts degree.
- A master’s degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield to be taught.
- A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield to be taught.
- A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with acceptance into and actively pursuing an M.F.A. in the discipline or subfield to be taught, along with supporting qualifications.
- For non-art degree applicants: tested professional experience, acceptance into and participation in national juried shows, an exceptional portfolio, acceptance into a graduate program, and teaching experience in the discipline to be taught.
Compensation
$700 per credit hour
