Adjunct Faculty in Fine Art (Studio Courses)

Duties & Responsibilities

• Teach courses aligned with the course syllabus.
• Present organized and clear lectures and classroom activities.
• Promote development and effective use of skills in various areas.
• Provide students with timely feedback on academic progress.
• Maintain accurate records of student academic performance.
• Have a thorough knowledge and understanding of college policies.
• Use technology tools such as Canvas, Starfish, email, MS Office, and the internet.

Qualifications

• A Master of Fine Arts degree.
• A master’s degree in another field with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield to be taught.
• A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in the discipline or subfield to be taught.
• A Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with acceptance into and actively pursuing an M.F.A. in the discipline or subfield to be taught, along with supporting qualifications.
• For non-art degree applicants: tested professional experience, acceptance into and participation in national juried shows, an exceptional portfolio, acceptance into a graduate program, and teaching experience in the discipline to be taught.

Compensation

$700 per credit hour
