About the Role

The Department of Marketing & Management in the Norm Brodsky College of Business at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach MGT 310 Introduction to Human Resource Management for the Fall 2026 semester, beginning September 9, 2026.

This on-campus course meets Monday evenings from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. and covers the nature of human resource management, its functions, procedures, and practices in profit, non-profit, and public sector organizations. Topics include recruiting and selection, training, human resource development, equal employment opportunity, performance appraisal, diversity, job analysis, compensation, and employee rights and discipline.

Pay

Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course, based on a full enrollment of 9 students. If enrollment is 8 or fewer students, the salary is prorated according to the number of students.

Requirements

  • Master's degree or higher in Human Resource Management, Management, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field.
  • Demonstrated ability and experience teaching at the college level.
  • Strong knowledge of human resource management principles, practices, and contemporary workplace issues.
  • Commitment to fostering student success in both academic achievement and career development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with students, faculty, and staff.
  • Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional experience in human resource management or a related field.
  • Experience applying human resource management principles in corporate, nonprofit, or public sector organizations.
