About the role

Endicott College’s School of Social Sciences, Communication, and Humanities is seeking an instructor to teach the following in-person course during the Fall 2026 semester (September 1 – December 18, 2026):

  • HST 104-01 US History II – Tuesday/Thursday, 12:30 pm

All courses are taught in person. Lecture courses meet for 3 hours per week in either a Monday/Wednesday/Friday 50-minute format or a Tuesday/Thursday 75-minute format.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver the course in person during the assigned time blocks.
  • Abide by Endicott’s academic policies as described in the College’s faculty handbook.
  • Use the course description and honor the learning outcomes of each course.
  • Use Canvas as the course’s learning management system.
  • Meet deadlines for roster verification and submission of grades.
  • Communicate with the dean or other administrators if issues arise concerning the teaching of specific classes.
  • Meet with students if they request assistance or need clarification for any course-related matter.
  • Provide samples of student work that may be used for assessment purposes.
  • Use Endicott email when communicating with students outside of class.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a Master’s degree is required.
  • College-level teaching experience is preferred.

Pay

Compensation for this position is $1,100–$4,700 per 3-credit course, determined by course enrollment. This range reflects base pay only and does not include other potential compensation or benefits.

Location

Endicott College is located approximately 20 miles north of Boston, with free parking and accessibility via the Newburyport/Rockport commuter rail line. Employees are an important part of the bustling seaside campus community.
