Adjunct Faculty, Health Information Management (Oncology)
Job Description
Teach oncology data specialist classes in the Health Information Management Technology short-term post-degree certificate program. This program is completely online with virtual class meeting times every week.
Required Qualifications
- Credentialed as an Oncology Data Specialist – certified (ODS-c) by the National Cancer Registrar Association (NCRA)
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum of 3 current years of data abstracting as a Certified Oncology Data Specialist for a Commission on Cancer (CoC) accredited registry, and some experience in all aspects of CoC registrar duties
- Must reside in state of Ohio
- Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent)
- Advanced communication (verbal, written and interpersonal) and organizational skills
- Sensitivity to respond appropriately to the needs of a diverse population
Preferred Qualifications
- Online teaching experience

This is a part-time (adjunct) faculty position. Candidates will be interviewed and hired on an as-needed basis throughout the academic year. Department: Nursing & Health Professions. Location: Metropolitan Campus. Reports To: Associate Dean. Recruitment Type: External/Internal. Requisition ID: req7033. Employment Type: Part-Time Faculty Union Position: Non-Union.
