Adjunct Faculty, Graduate Health Services Administration

Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to teach an online graduate-level Health Services Administration course for the upcoming Fall quarter, starting Monday, October 5th. Classes follow a 12-week quarter schedule and typically run one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned from a pre-designed curriculum and utilize your professional expertise to provide high-quality instruction.
• Enhance the strength and effectiveness of the curriculum through the use of technology and videos.
• Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
• Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to ensure students receive quality feedback in a timely manner to support their academic success.
• Establish high standards and ensure students understand how they will be evaluated.
• Adhere to University policies and procedures.
• Attend faculty meetings and workshops or training as required.

Requirements

• Master’s level degree in the discipline or professional certification in discipline specialty from a regionally accredited institution; Doctorate degree in Health Services Administration or Healthcare Administration required.
• All degrees must be conferred and from an accredited institution.
• Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience are strongly preferred.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

• Effectively communicate with all levels of the University.
• Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology and evaluation.
• Proficiency in oral presentation skills, planning, and organizing of course objectives.
• Strong computer skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage potentially stressful situations in a professional and ethical manner.

Pay

• $2,300–$2,600 per online assignment per quarter.
• $3,000 per on-campus assignment per quarter (if location is near a campus, on-campus teaching may be required).
