Adjunct Faculty - Healthcare Administration

Responsibilities

• Teaches undergraduate students in the classroom on the Boston campus, focusing on healthcare quality improvement, operations management, and other related topics.
• Collaborates with the Program Director to align course content with program learning outcomes, required contact hours, and grading and feedback processes.
• Develops and provides an approved syllabus that includes learning outcomes and a teaching and assessment methodology aligned with the BS program.
• Maintains syllabus requirements, including required contact hours, and provides timely grading and feedback to students.
• Selects and provides engaging assignments, deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria that are consistent with the syllabus and collaborates with the Program Director.
• Uses the University's learning management system (Blackboard) to support the classroom experience, communicate with students, and post syllabi, assignments, and student grades.
• Offers advice and assistance to students through office hours or scheduled appointments, via videoconferencing, phone, or email, and communicates student engagement or support needs to the Program Director.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Healthcare Management or a closely related field.
• At least 5 years of professional experience in healthcare operations management or quality improvement.
• Experience teaching undergraduate students in a higher education setting.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with students and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs.

Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.
• Proficiency in using Blackboard and other educational technology tools.
• Knowledge of best practices in healthcare operations management and quality improvement.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 annually, depending on qualifications and experience.
