Strayer University is seeking a dynamic Adjunct Faculty member to teach an online graduate-level Health Services Administration course for the upcoming Fall quarter, starting Monday, October 5th. Classes follow a 12-week quarter schedule and typically run one evening per week from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm.

Responsibilities

  • Teach assigned courses using a pre-designed curriculum while incorporating professional expertise to deliver high-quality instruction.
  • Enhance curriculum effectiveness through the use of technology and videos.
  • Utilize the online learning platform to enrich the student learning experience.
  • Be available to students via email, phone, text, and office hours to provide timely, quality feedback supporting academic success.
  • Establish and communicate high academic standards, including clear evaluation criteria for students.
  • Adhere to University policies and procedures.
  • Attend faculty meetings, workshops, or training as required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in the discipline or professional certification in discipline specialty from a regionally accredited institution (required).
  • Doctorate degree in Health Services Administration or Healthcare Administration (required).
  • Teaching experience at the college level and online teaching experience (strongly preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not available.

Skills

  • Effective communication with all levels of the University community.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of academic technology and evaluation methods.
  • Proficiency in oral presentation, planning, and organizing course objectives.
  • Strong computer skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage potentially stressful situations professionally and ethically.

Pay

Compensation ranges from $2,300 to $3,100 per course, per quarter, depending on assignment type:

  • $2,300–$2,600 per online course.
  • $3,000 per on-campus course (if located near a campus, on-campus teaching may be required).
