Adjunct Faculty - General Physics

POSITION SUMMARY: The Department of Physical Sciences and Applied Mathematics seeks applications for spring semester adjunct instructors for one or more of the following courses: General Physics 2 (2nd semester of year sequence), Fundamentals of Physical Science and Lab. Vanguard seeks professionals of Christian faith who are committed to integration of faith and learning in their respective fields.
Essential Functions
- Teach the above-mentioned coursework.
- Facilitate the learning of first-generation college students and incorporate culturally-relevant pedagogy within the classroom.
- Collaborate with department faculty in curriculum implementation, student support and continuous program improvement.
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's degree (MS or MA) or higher in engineering, physics, or related field.
- Bachelor's degree with experience may be considered.
- Teaching experience at the junior college or university level.
- A vibrant Christian faith and commitment to an integration of faith and learning.
SALARY
The following salary range reflects compensation paid for a 3-unit course (144 total hours) and varies based on the faculty member's highest earned degree. Total compensation is based on the number of courses taught and corresponding units for each course. $3,120 to $3,720 per course.

- Majors or fields of study, undergrad & graduate majors, minors, & areas of concentration.
- With the most recent, a chronological listing of teaching experience - name and location of institutions, title/academic rank, full/part-time, dates of employment.
- A specific listing of courses previously taught.
- Publishations, presentations, honors, awards, and memberships in professional organizations.
- With the most recent employment, position/title, full/part-time, dates of employment.
- Any other qualifying experience, paid/voluntary, other.
