About the Role

This position will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree in the Construction Management Program within the School of Engineering & Construction Technologies. Classes will be in-person and online in the following disciplines: Wall & Roof Systems, Interior Finishes & Specialties, Field Engineering I, Project Scheduling, Mechanical Systems (online), Construction Documents & Show Drawings (online).

Schedule

Variable schedule based on course scheduling. Office hours are Monday through Friday 7:30 AM–4:30 PM with occasional evenings and weekends.

Appointment length: 12 months or less.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and fulfill complex instructional initiatives.
  • Deliver in-person and online coursework in construction management disciplines.
  • Maintain high standards of work, initiative, commitment, ethics, professional responsibility, and judgment.
  • Collaborate with various constituencies and promote diverse populations.
  • Exhibit teamwork, innovation, and excellence in teaching.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college or university preferred; other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted.
  • Three or more years of evidenced commercial construction industry experience.
  • Teaching experience in higher education preferred.
  • Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.
  • Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

  • Proficiency in electronic communications, word processing, and discipline-specific software.
  • Superior interpersonal skills, including conflict resolution and problem-solving.
