Adjunct Faculty | College of Nursing, WSU Tri Cities (Richland, WA)
About the role
This recruitment will be used to establish a pool of applicants for the 2026-2027 Academic Year. The pool is continuously accepting applications to be reviewed through December 31, 2026. Once all current vacancies are filled, applications will continue to be accepted for future vacancies.
Responsibilities
- Provide clinical instruction for traditional semester-long courses for 4.5 months (Fall and/or Spring Semesters).
- Work collaboratively with students, faculty, and staff within the College of Nursing.
- Make a significant difference in creating both knowledge and community impact across the state of Washington and beyond.
- Teach in one of the following departments within the College of Nursing, based on specialty and experience, unless a specific department preference is provided in the application materials.
Requirements
- A Master’s Degree in Nursing or closely related field OR candidates currently enrolled in an approved Nursing Master's program may be eligible for hire.
- Licensure or eligible for license as a registered nurse in the State of Washington.
Qualifications
The College of Nursing encourages applications from faculty who have a passion for teaching, a commitment to student success, and an understanding of the WSU land-grant mission. We are seeking candidates with clinical experience in any and all nursing specialties including: Long Term Care, Medical Surgical, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Community Health Nursing, and Psychiatric Nursing.
Skills
Previous experience as an educator, preceptor, or clinical evaluator is preferred.
