Adjunct Faculty - CIS

Texas A&M University–Central Texas is seeking applicants for Spring and/or Summer 2026 adjunct instructor positions in the Subhani Department of Computer Information Systems.

About the role

Primarily responsible for the teaching/learning process. Adjunct instructors are hired to teach on a temporary and part-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Teaches undergraduate-level classes in the Computer Information Systems program as needed.
• Writes syllabi for the courses to be taught using the approved format of the College of Business Administration.
• Meets with students enrolled in their classes when students need additional assistance with class material and assignments.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in information systems, computer science, or a related field.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any US employer; the department is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Preferred Qualifications

• Earned Doctorate in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a closely related degree/area.
• Significant industry experience in programming, data communications, computer networking, database management, cybersecurity, or related areas.
• Industry-recognized technical certifications.

Skills

• Demonstrated experience or expertise in teaching, particularly at the undergraduate level, with a focus on student engagement and academic success.
• Proven expertise in Computer Information Systems or Computer Science and a strong commitment to high-quality undergraduate education.

Courses may include programming, data communications, computer networking, database management, cybersecurity, and other related areas in computer information systems or Computer Science as determined by department needs and individual qualifications.
