About the role
Fairfield University's College of Arts and Sciences seeks to hire adjunct or visiting instructors to teach in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. Courses typically include General Chemistry and its laboratory sections, as well as courses for non-science majors.
Responsibilities
- Teach General Chemistry and its laboratory sections
- Teach courses for non-science majors, such as Chemistry of Nutrition and Molecules of Life
- Teach upper division chemistry courses as needed
- Teach classes during the day and some evenings
Requirements
- A Master's degree or higher in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related STEM field
Qualifications
Preference will be given to candidates with expertise in topics of interest to STEM students that are related to chemistry and biochemistry.
Skills
Ability to teach effectively and engage students in chemistry and biochemistry courses.
