Adjunct Faculty - Chemistry and Biochemistry
Job Description
Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) is seeking part-time adjunct faculty to teach day and/or evening classes for the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry. Part-time faculty positions are established to maintain an applicant pool for the Department. Appointments will be made on an as-needed basis.
About the role
Applicants are expected to hold a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field. Qualified candidates will be contacted by the Department. Applications will remain under consideration until the posting closes. There is a potential need for both undergraduate and graduate courses. The goal is to integrate a successful applicant into related activities at WPI with teaching assignments matched with the background and availability of the applicant.
Responsibilities
- Teach day and/or evening classes for the Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry.
- Maintain an applicant pool for the Department.
- Teach both undergraduate and graduate courses as needed.
- Integrate into related activities at WPI with teaching assignments matched with the background and availability of the applicant.
Requirements
- Hold a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related field.
Qualifications
- Qualified candidates will be contacted by the Department.
Skills
- Ability to teach both undergraduate and graduate courses.

Pay
$2,450 per lab section up to $9,800 per course.
Schedule
As needed, including day and/or evening classes.
