About the Department
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at James Madison University serves approximately 3,000 undergraduate students annually. We offer a wide variety of courses for chemistry majors, other STEM majors, general education, and pre-health professional students. The department is actively committed to increasing the success of all students, attracting faculty and students with diverse backgrounds and experiences, and sustaining a welcoming work and learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Teach lecture or laboratory classes in the candidate’s area of specialty.
- Primary need for instructors in general education courses and laboratory instruction in general chemistry.
Requirements
- Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field is preferred, or a M.S. with at least 18 hours of graduate coursework.
- Demonstrated commitment to increasing the success of all students.
