About the Role
The Department of Natural and Health Sciences at Rider University seeks an adjunct instructor to teach one laboratory section of BIO 115: Principles of Biology I for majors, beginning September 9, 2026. Major topics include the scientific method, macromolecules in biology, cell biology (including cell division and gene expression), genetics, and evolution.
Responsibilities include using Canvas to manage the lab section gradebook and to administer and grade pre- and post-lab assignments.
Pay
Salary is $4,215.98 for a 3-credit course when the section is full (9 students). If enrollment is 8 or fewer students, the salary is prorated based on the number of enrollees.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Biology or a closely related field
- Experience teaching undergraduate students
- Satisfactory background and/or DMV checks
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD or other terminal degree
