Adjunct Faculty

Duties/Responsibilities

• Teach courses as assigned by the Department Chair.
• Develop and deliver course lectures and instructional materials consistent with the approved course description and learning objectives for undergraduate and graduate students.
• Design and administer appropriate assessments for students.
• Submit grades in accordance with University Deadlines and Policies.
• Adhere to University guidelines for course syllabi and learning management systems.
• Hold regular office hours and provide academic support to enrolled students.
• Manage and coordinate with Teaching Assistant(s), if assigned.
• Coordinate, as needed, with the NREN Department Chair and NREN program faculty to ensure curricular alignment.
• Adhere to all University policies and procedures.

Requirements

• M.S. Degree and demonstrated expertise in appropriate discipline as it relates to coursework being taught.
• Prior teaching experience at the undergraduate and/or graduate level or demonstrated potential for effective teaching.
• Ph.D. in appropriate discipline as it relates to coursework being taught (preferred).
• Experience working with diverse student populations.
• Familiarity with instructional technologies and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas).

The University of New Hampshire offers competitive compensation and benefits. The pay range for this position is $6758 per course. Actual offer will be based on skills, qualifications, experience, and internal equity, in addition to relevant business considerations.
