Adjunct faculty

Responsibilities

• Instructs and evaluates student’s performance in the laboratory component of the Sonography Program.
• Aid students on an individual level when needed.
• Counsel students on their laboratory progress when needed.
• Maintain student laboratory records.
• Enforce rules and regulations of Sonography Program.
• Meet regularly with the Clinical Coordinator and/or Program Director to discuss student progress, strengths, and weaknesses.
• Offer a positive professional attitude towards students and the teaching process.
• Offer input on course design, development, revision, and implementation.
• Direct laboratory/clinical sessions in the performance aspects of the related theory of imaging sciences.
• Collaborate with other professional personnel for the practical experience phases of training.
• Submit final grades to Primary Lab Instructor by due date.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree and/or 2 years clinical experience in related field.
• Valid ARDMS certification (copy of current certification to be sent into Chair’s office).

• Strong communication skills.
• Knowledge of Sonography Program curriculum and standards.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in relevant software and equipment.
