Adjunct Faculty, Architecture-Mechanical Design

Overview / Job Summary

The adjunct faculty member will provide instruction in the classroom in areas of expertise as assigned. Instruction may include classroom lectures, facilitating group discussions and projects, and/or computer laboratory instruction at various College locations.

Requirements

• Education: Possess a minimum of a Technical Certificate in Architecture or Mechanical Design, or a closely related field. An Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree would be considered and highly beneficial
• Preferred Experience & Skills:
  • Substantial professional experience (3-5 years) in architectural and/or mechanical design, with a track record of successful projects and achievements in the industry
  • Prior teaching experience in higher education or professional training settings is highly desirable
  • Ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences is essential
  • Proficient in using industry-standard software and tools related to architectural and mechanical design, such as AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, Inventor, and Chief Architect
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential for effectively conveying ideas and concepts to students and colleagues
  • A team player who can collaborate effectively with fellow faculty members and contribute to the growth and development of the department
  • Demonstrates a genuine passion for teaching and helping students succeed in their academic and professional endeavors
