Compensation: $675/credit hour
Worksite Location: South Campus, weekday evening courses
**Overview / Job Summary**
The Adjunct Faculty Instructor brings subject matter expertise to the classroom and is responsible for teaching Anatomy & Physiology courses. This involves adhering to lesson plans, meeting course objectives, and upholding professional and ethical academic behaviors. Your day-to-day **responsibilities** will vary, but are not limited to:
- Files an appropriate course syllabus for each course taught within the appropriate Learning Management System.
- Ensures that each program/class contains essential curricular components, is up-to-date with current methods, and maintains a productive learning environment.
- Maintains a high level of expertise in the subjects taught and stimulates enthusiasm for those subjects.
- Recommends textbooks and other instructional materials, including classroom and laboratory equipment, to Dean/Director.
- Assesses and evaluates student learning through assignments and assessments to foster academic success.
- Aligns classroom teaching with the goals and standards of WSU Tech.

## Requirements
Education
- Masters degree in Anatomy & Physiology, Biology, health care, or related field
- OR masters degree and 18 graduate hours in the teaching discipline
Preferred Experience & Skills
- Teaching experience is desired; prior experience in adult education is preferred.
- Must be available for required course assignments.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills must work effectively with students, technical personnel, and administrative staff.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities.
- Ability to work independently and effectively with little or no supervision.
- Comfortable with technology and learning management systems.
