Position Summary

Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver engaging online course content aligned with program learning objectives and outcomes using the College’s approved, branded course shell.
- Assess student performance through assignments, exams, and projects.
- Provide regular and substantive feedback connected to course content to support student learning and success.
- Maintain communication with students on a predictable and scheduled basis.
- Follow adopted faculty norms when teaching in distance education courses.
- Participate in professional development activities provided by the College.
- Collaborate with other faculty members and administrators to ensure program quality and consistency.
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to enhance course content relevance.
Qualifications
- Doctoral degree in School Counseling or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution (for teaching graduate-level courses).
- Master's degree in School Counseling or a closely related field from a regionally accredited institution (for teaching undergraduate-level courses).
- Relevant professional experience in careers based in areas of counseling and instruction.
- Some programs may require K12 licensure in specific content areas.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching and a strong commitment to student success.
- Proficiency in using online learning management systems and tools.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Prior experience teaching online courses at the undergraduate or graduate level.
- Significant professional experience as a practitioner in an education-related field, such as leadership roles or extensive practical experience.
- Active participation in professional organizations and associations related to education.
- Evidence of scholarly activities, such as research, publications, or presentations.
- Commitment to contributing to a climate that supports a diverse student body, serves first-generation college students, multilingual learners, and promotes equity and social justice.
