Responsibilities
- Teaches assigned courses as scheduled and assumes primary responsibility for and exercises oversight of the curriculum.
- Designs and supports a range of appropriate learning activities considering individual differences of students.
- Identifies and responds to students with academic or other needs through appropriate resources.
- Uses technology in courses and communicates clear expectations regarding its use.
- Keeps accurate and appropriate records in accordance with departmental policies.
- Determines and submits grades timely and in accordance with established policies and procedures of the College.
- Distributes and maintains accurate syllabi that incorporate departmental, college, cross-college, and instructor requirements.
- Conducts classes punctually and in accordance with the prescribed meeting schedule.
- Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure students' performance in achieving course goals and objectives.
- Maintains attendance records and engages in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development.
- Teaches a variety of criminal justice topics related to the Police Academy Program.
Requirements
- Current Ohio Peace Officer Training Academy BAS Unit Instructor certificate.
- State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).
Qualifications
An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.

Maximum of 12 contact hours per week
