About the role

This full-time, on-site position is located in Roanoke Rapids, NC. The Adjunct Clinical Instructor Nursing role involves supervising nursing students in clinical settings, demonstrating best practices in patient care, and ensuring adherence to clinical and institutional policies.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise nursing students in clinical settings.
  • Demonstrate best practices in patient care.
  • Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
  • Support the development of clinical judgment and professional behavior.
  • Coordinate clinical experiences with partner facilities.
  • Reinforce didactic content through hands-on instruction.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
  • Collaborate with nursing faculty to align clinical teaching with program objectives.

Qualifications

  • Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license, with eligibility to practice in North Carolina.
  • Master’s degree in Nursing or related field preferred; bachelor’s degree in Nursing required with relevant clinical experience.
  • Knowledge and experience in Medicine and Critical Care Medicine sufficient to guide students in safe, evidence-based patient care.
  • Experience in training and research to support student learning, integrate current best practices, and contribute to continuous program improvement.
  • Strong communication, mentoring, and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive, learner-centered teaching.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and clinical partners, and to model professional conduct and ethical practice.
  • Prior teaching or precepting experience in academic or clinical settings is highly beneficial.
