About the role
The successful candidate will teach undergraduate lab courses in biology, covering topics such as basic chemistry, biochemistry, the scientific method, cell structure, photosynthesis, cellular respiration, inheritance, molecular biology, and biotechnology.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct lab sessions according to the course curriculum.
- Assess student understanding through various forms of assessment.
- Collaborate with other lab instructors and the department chair or lead instructor.
- Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies.
Requirements
- Hold a Ph.D. in a Biological science or a master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a biological field.
- Possess strong communication skills.
- Have experience teaching undergraduate courses.
- Have experience with Course Management Systems such as Blackboard, Canvas, or D2L.
- Be committed to high-quality instruction for first-generation college students and familiar with active learning pedagogies.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Knowledge of and experience with educational technology tools.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
Schedule
Classes begin August 11th, 2026 and run on a semester-by-semester basis pending enrollment, instructor availability, and student success.
