Adjunct Billiard Instructor

About the Role

Part-time adjunct instructor of Introductory Billiards. Teach one or two physical education activity courses per semester as needed, meeting twice weekly with each assigned class to teach basic billiards skills. This is a pooled position; applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available, and the pool expires after a set period.

Responsibilities

• Teach one or two introductory billiards courses per semester.
• Meet twice weekly with each assigned class.
• Instruct students in the basic skills associated with the sport of billiards.

Required Qualifications

• Billiards coaching experience.
• Minimum BCA Level 1 certification; preference for BCA Level 2 Coach Instructor certification.
• Group teaching experience.
• League billiards experience, especially service as a league officer.
• Prior coaching experience in other athletic areas or in a physical education setting.
• Ability to pass a criminal background check.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent grasp of basic billiards techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

Candidates with additional billiards coaching credentials or extensive league experience are preferred.
