About the role
The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) seeks to hire adjunct Pharmacy Technician Instructor positions for the 2026 Academic School Year. These positions are open-ended and will be filled based on campus needs.
Responsibilities
- Teach a range of courses within the Pharmacy Technician discipline.
- Create engaging and inclusive educational environments that support student learning.
- Collaborate, communicate, and work as professionals with students, staff, faculty, and administrators.
- Be culturally responsive in interactions with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
- Conduct classes in a virtual learning environment using Canvas or other methods of remote learning.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience; OR Associate's degree and six years of professional experience, which must be directly related to the faculty member's teaching assignment; OR Associates degree and an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), and four years professional experience.
- A sensitivity to and an understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.
Qualifications
- Verification of Experience on letterhead stationery; must show inclusive dates of assignments, state if full-time or part-time and indicate duties.
- Covid 19 Vaccination: Pursuant to LACCD Board of Trustee's Policy 2900, all students and employees must be fully vaccinated or have an approved exemption.

Benefits
- Salary schedule for adjunct instructors begins at $86.85 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.32 per hour for classroom assignments.
- Applicants with a doctoral degree are eligible for a doctoral differential.
