About the role

The Los Angeles Community College District (LACCD) seeks dynamic and diverse candidates for part-time Nutritional Science/Dietetics Instructor positions. These positions are available across multiple colleges within the district, offering a range of courses designed to engage and educate students.

Responsibilities

• Teach a variety of courses within the Nutritional Science/Dietetics discipline.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or Dietetics and Food Administration, or Bachelor's degree in these fields combined with a Master's in Chemistry, Public Health, or Family and Consumer Studies/Home Economics.
• A sensitivity to and understanding of diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students.

Qualifications

• Covid-19 Vaccination Required.

SkillsExperience with remote learning platforms such as Blackboard, Canvas, or Course Compass.

Benefits

Adjunct instructors are compensated at a minimum of $89.72 per standard hour, plus an office hour differential of $20.99 per hour for classroom assignments. Candidates with a doctoral degree may qualify for a doctoral differential.
