Position Summary
The Business Department at LIU Post invites applications for Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professors with a strong academic background and professional experience. We are particularly interested in candidates qualified to design and teach both undergraduate and graduate-level courses in Marketing, International Business, Finance, General Management, and Organizational Behavior.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and deliver high-quality coursework in line with program objectives.
- Develop course syllabi and communicate expectations clearly to students, establishing a strong student-instructor contract.
- Recommend appropriate textbooks and learning resources.
- Facilitate student learning and engagement to ensure achievement of course outcomes.
- Participate in learning outcomes assessment initiatives, including analyzing results and implementing changes to enhance student success.
- Design, administer, and assess student projects, exams, and experiential learning activities.
- Maintain regular office hours to support students academically and professionally, including internship and career guidance.
- Submit required documentation punctually, including syllabi (due two weeks before the semester begins), final grades (within 24 hours of semester close), graded exams, and grade changes.
- Respond promptly to university requests related to accreditation, data reporting, and compliance, such as submitting current CVs, completing AACSB surveys, and completing mandatory training (e.g., sexual harassment prevention).
- Perform additional duties as assigned within the scope of the role.
Required Qualifications
- A Master’s degree (minimum) in a relevant field, with substantial professional experience.
- Proven expertise aligned with teaching assignments in Marketing, International Business, Finance, General Management, or Organizational Behavior.
- Willingness to undergo training to maintain instructional quality and comply with institutional or governmental standards.
- Ability to teach both in-person and online, with proficiency in relevant instructional technologies.
- Use of an LIU-issued email address as the primary mode of communication with students and University personnel.
