Adjunct Assistant Professor - Aviation

About the role

Farmingdale State College invites applications for Adjunct faculty positions in Aviation. Positions are available in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control.
• Maintain high standards of academic integrity and student success.
• Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curricular offerings and student learning experiences.
• Participate in departmental meetings and committees as needed.
• Assist in developing new curriculum and course materials.

Requirements

• A minimum of a Master's Degree in Aviation or a closely related field.
• Candidates with Master's Degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate education, experience and/or scholarship in aviation and/or Air Traffic Control.
• Additional Preferred Requirements include:
• Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
• FAA Certified Advanced Ground Instructor
• Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII)
• Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
• FAA Certified Air Traffic Controller (Tower, Center, and/or TRICON)
