Adjunct Assistant Professor - Aviation
About the role
Farmingdale State College invites applications for Adjunct faculty positions in Aviation. Positions are available in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in Aviation Administration, Professional Pilot, and Air Traffic Control.
- Maintain high standards of academic integrity and student success.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance curricular offerings and student learning experiences.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees as needed.
- Assist in developing new curriculum and course materials.
Requirements
- A minimum of a Master's Degree in Aviation or a closely related field.
- Candidates with Master's Degrees in other disciplines will be considered if they can demonstrate education, experience and/or scholarship in aviation and/or Air Traffic Control.
- Additional Preferred Requirements include:
- Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
- FAA Certified Advanced Ground Instructor
- Certified Flight Instrument Instructor (CFII)
- Multi-Engine Instructor (MEI)
- FAA Certified Air Traffic Controller (Tower, Center, and/or TRICON)
