Adjunct Assistant Instructor: Instrumental Studies

About the Role

The Department of College of Music seeks qualified individuals for its Adjunct Assistant Instructor pool. This posting is for the Fall 2026, Spring 2027 and Summer 2027 semesters. The anticipated need is to provide support at an adjunct assistant level in Instrumental Studies. You will assist the instructor of record assigned to a specific course for duties such as grading and tutoring. All instruction will take place on the main UNT campus in Denton.

Responsibilities

• Assist the instructor of record assigned to specific courses
• Provide grading support
• Provide tutoring support

Minimum Qualifications

• Master's degree in music or a closely related field
• At least three years of professional experience
• Prior college-level teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Terminal degree in music or a closely related field
• Experience teaching and/or working in higher education with reference to the standards of the UNT College of Music
