About the Role

Responsibilities

• Provide students with course syllabus, grading/attendance policy, and other relevant information in a timely manner.
• Relate instructional materials, discussions, examples, and illustrations; pace instruction over the academic term.
• Provide students with timely assessments and return assessment results promptly.
• Relate assessments to course objectives and follow acceptable department and college grading policies.
• Utilize appropriate instructional technology and maintain a positive environment for optimum student performance.
• Submit reports in a timely manner and practice effective class management.
• Prioritize duties, use time wisely, and adhere to class schedules and meeting times.
• Provide effective classroom/lab supervision and maintain accurate records.
• Handle students’ work and records in a professional manner.
• Perform other duties as required.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Art or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Art.
