ADDITIVE TECHNICIAN
About the role
We are seeking an Additive Manufacturing Technician to join our skilled and growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, cleaning, and maintaining additive manufacturing machines to ensure efficient operations, prevent contamination, and maximize machine utilization.
Responsibilities
- Setup, operate, and perform daily and preventative maintenance on additive manufacturing machines.
- Strictly adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, gage pins, height gages, dial indicators, and precision scales.
- Change out equipment to different materials and calibrate equipment.
- Comply with ISO9001 standard and internal quality standards.
- Accurately read and record critical production information (material manufacture date, serial number, etc.).
- Handle inventory and manage Material On-Hand Quantity (MOQ) for frequently used materials.
- Perform part breakouts and adhere to tight scheduling for MJF build units.
- Set up and operate vapor smoothing equipment and fixturing parts for smoothing.
- Perform housekeeping and cleanup duties upon completion of assigned tasks.
- Participate in housekeeping efforts to maintain an orderly, clean, and safe work area.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
Requirements
- ITAR REQUIREMENTS: Subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. citizen status.
- Skill Requirements:
- Able to work in a dynamic environment with changing priorities to exceed customer expectations.
- Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and able to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
- Computer aptitude (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
- Ability and comfortability to work in small confined spaces while following proper safety protocol.
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
- Able to work on cross-functional teams to support the core business, ensuring quality products are delivered on time.
- Able to work independently and demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills and concepts.
- Qualifications:
- 2-5 years of working experience in a precision CNC machining, additive, or manufacturing environment.
- Previous aerospace quality experience preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing/CNC machining processes.
Work Environment
The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment. Ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms (including above shoulder height and below the waist); climb/balance; stoop, kneel, crouch/bend, or crawl; talk or hear; and lift up to 50 pounds. Ability and comfortability to work in small confined spaces while following proper safety protocol.

Salary
$20.00 - $30.00 per hour
