Responsibilities
- Perform TIG and MIG welding on various metals, ensuring structural integrity and high-quality weld appearance.
- Fabricate and assemble custom metal components based on engineering drawings or CAD designs.
- Set up, operate, and maintain fabrication and finishing equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
- Prepare surfaces for hydro-dipping by cleaning, sanding, priming, and applying decorative coatings.
- Apply Cerakote coatings, including surface prep, mixing, spraying, and curing for optimal durability and finish quality.
- Use CAD software (such as Onshape, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD) to design, modify, or prototype components as needed.
- Conduct quality inspections to verify that all welds, coatings, and finishes meet company standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production staff to ensure manufacturability, efficiency, and design accuracy.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, following all safety and environmental guidelines.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED required; technical certificate or associate degree in welding, fabrication, or manufacturing preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in welding, metal fabrication, or industrial finishing.
- Valid welding certification (AWS, CWB, or equivalent) required.
- Proficiency in CAD software (Onshape, SolidWorks, or AutoCAD).
- Experience with hydro-dipping, Cerakote, or similar coating processes strongly preferred.
- Able to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, and craftsmanship.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in an active manufacturing environment.
Pay & Schedule
Pay Range: $23.00 – $25.00 per hour based on experience and certifications.
Job Type: Full-time (40 hours per week).
