About the role
The Te Poutama Tautoko AOD team is focused on empowering individuals to develop the skills, knowledge, and strategies needed to support change and recovery.
Responsibilities
- Conducting alcohol and drug assessments and creating personalized treatment plans
- Leading individual and group counselling sessions, workshops, and educational programmes
- Facilitating group therapy in a safe, collaborative space
- Coordinating with community and government services for additional support
- Organising educational wananga on alcohol and drug abuse
- Supporting early intervention and cultural practices that promote wellness
Requirements
- Full or Provisional Registration with DAPAANZ or similar clinical body is a must
- Relevant qualifications in Psychology, Addictions, Social Work or Nursing
- Experience delivering therapeutic interventions for addiction including Te Ao Māori models of health
- Experience working with successfully with whānau
- Understanding of Te Ao Māori and Te Reo or willingness to embrace
- Proficiency in report writing and case management
- Full driver’s licence
