Addictions Counselor - REPOST

Job Responsibilities

You Will Provide professional, respectful and ethical individual and group counseling to adults.

Function effectively with all other members of the clinical team as well as administrative and support staff.

Attend daily clinical staffing.

Professionally assess patient needs and make appropriate referrals for dual diagnosis, mental health, physician, outreach programs, recovery houses and continuing care plans.

Document patient progress in a timely and accurate manner. This includes, but is not limited to, treatment plans, progress notes, case presentation and discharge summary; all based upon SCVRD criteria.

Complete annual continuing education requirements and population specific education.

Attend agency trainings and perform lectures/outreach projects/programs as requested.

Perform other related duties as required or assigned.

Minimum And Additional Requirements

• Master's degree in Rehabilitation Counseling or a related field.
• Knowledge of counseling theory, addiction theory and recovery desired.
• Experience in providing vocational rehabilitation services to consumers receiving inpatient treatment for alcohol and /or other drug abuse/addictions preferred.
• Dual License is preferred, but not required: Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) and/or a Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC).
