Main Purpose of Job

The primary purpose of this position is to provide addiction counseling services to patients within the MDH Clifton T. Perkins Hospital Center.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent license in Maryland.
  • Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders.
  • Knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for addiction.

Desired or Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Credentials in trauma-informed care.
  • Experience with group therapy facilitation.

Licenses, Registrations and Certifications

  • Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or equivalent license in Maryland.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Special Requirements

  • Pass a background check.
  • Pass a drug screening.
