This role is the liaison between client and clinical, prioritizing a safe environment for individuals in recovery. It offers an opportunity to start your career in behavioral health.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the intake process and transportation needs for clients.
- Answer client questions and help them adjust to the program routine.
- Observe and report any changes in a client's physical or mental condition to medical staff.
- Establish and maintain healthy relationships with patients.
- Assist with the admission process, including new patient admissions, orientation procedures, and schedules.
- Maintain constant and clear communication during client admission.
- Complete timely and accurate shift reports and checklists at the end of each shift.
- Facilitate orientation groups or meetings with patients.
- De-escalate and assist with patients leaving treatment AMA/ACA and other patient problems.
- Track patient locations through que checks to ensure safety.
- Monitor family visits to ensure patient safety.
- Assist the medical department during "medication pass" times (if applicable).
- Maintain cleanliness of all properties and office spaces, ensuring general areas are free of clutter.
- Participate in all staff meetings and trainings as scheduled.
- Exercise sound professional judgment and seek assistance as needed to manage patients effectively.
- Protect patient privacy in accordance with organizational policies, federal and state laws, and professional standards.
Requirements
- High School diploma or GED.
- 1+ years of experience in the Mental Health Field (or corresponding college coursework).
- Ability and desire to keep patients safe at all times.
- Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
- CDCA certification required.
- Valid driver’s license required.
