ADC Engineer, Cryptography and Identity Management

About the role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is building some of the largest and most complex distributed systems in the world. The AWS Identity & Access team is delivering the next generation of cloud computing security that supports public AWS offerings like S3, EC2, and CloudFront. We are innovating new ways of building massively scalable distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, single sign-on, and more. We enable our customers to control some of the most sensitive secrets on the Internet.

A successful ACE Engineer does much more than plug computers together and track changes. They are instrumental in deploying, operating, and scaling a massive always-on distributed system that is core to all of AWS. This position requires an active TS/SCI security clearance. After starting, the selected candidate must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which they perform AWS work.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and scale a massive always-on distributed system core to AWS
• Work on complex distributed security systems involving identity management, federation, web services security, and single sign-on

Requirements

• Current, active US Government Security Clearance of Top Secret with SCI eligibility or above
• After start, must obtain and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph or commensurate clearance for each government agency for which AWS work is performed
• 3+ years Linux systems administration experience
• 3+ years technical troubleshooting / support experience
• 2+ years of networking experience (TCP/IP)

Qualifications

• Cloud+ or GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional) or GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials) or SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner), or Associate's degree

Preferred Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+

Pay

USA, WA, Seattle - $116,900.00 - $167,400.00 USD annually
